This #1 Grade REVERSIBLE V-groove/T&G Eastern Aromatic Red Cedar is perfect for projects, cedar closets, accent walls, cedar chests, and more. The eastern red cedar has more of the insect-repelling aromatic oils than the more common western red cedar variant that's commonly available. Also, eastern red cedar is deeper and richer in color - starting out as a brilliant purple when freshly cut, and oxidizing into a warm reddish hue, and finally turning silvery-grey if left untreated and in direct sunlight.
